A Record-Breaking Day on the Course for Honor Connor

This year’s Honor Connor Golf Tournament was one we will never forget.

After days of rain in the forecast, we were incredibly blessed with sunshine and the perfect day on the course. But more than that, we were surrounded by an amazing community of sponsors, golfers, volunteers, supporters, friends, and family who showed up to support Honor Connor’s mission in such a meaningful way.

For me personally, this day always means even more.

I’m Emily, Connor’s younger sister, and Honor Connor was founded by my parents, Lisa and Scott, alongside my older brother Tyler and me, in memory of Connor. Everything we do is rooted in honoring Connor’s life and making sure that no one navigating suicide loss feels alone.

Seeing so many people come together to support Connor’s legacy was incredibly emotional for our family.

Because of this amazing community, this year’s tournament became our most successful one yet.

We are incredibly grateful to share that the tournament raised $215,000, with $143,000 directly benefiting Honor Connor programming and initiatives.

One golfer shared:

“This was one of the most meaningful and well-organized charity tournaments I’ve ever attended. You could feel the heart behind the event from start to finish, and it was inspiring knowing the day was supporting a cause that is truly changing lives.”

The support raised through this tournament directly impacts the families and individuals we serve throughout the year.

Because of last year’s event, we were able to expand our Hold Onto Hope support meetings from once a month to twice a month — creating more opportunities for survivors of suicide loss to connect and heal together. In 2025, Hold Onto Hope grew tremendously, reaching nearly 2,000 registrations — a 300% increase from the previous year.

We also launched the Hold Onto Hope Community, an ongoing online support space where people can stay connected, share resources, and continue supporting one another outside of meetings. That community quickly grew to more than 345 members.

As my mom, Lisa, shared during the tournament presentation, the conversations happening inside these groups are incredibly powerful. Some people join just weeks after losing someone they love, while others come years later still searching for understanding, connection, and hope. No matter where someone is in their grief journey, there is comfort in knowing they are not walking through it alone.

One attendee recently shared

“Thank you for not only sharing Connor’s story but also providing these webinars and group sessions. This made me feel less alone hearing everyone’s stories and knowing that there is a community of people going through similar situations.”

That is why this tournament matters so deeply to our family.

The support raised through this event allows us to continue growing in 2026 — expanding support programs, reaching more families, strengthening our online community, and creating more spaces where people impacted by suicide loss can find hope and connection.

Connor’s story continues to bring people together in such meaningful ways — creating conversations around mental health, healing, remembrance, and hope.

To every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, donor, and supporter: thank you.

Thank you for showing up, for believing in this mission, and for helping us continue Connor’s legacy in a way that is changing lives every single day.
